Other News
Kyle Lewis requested and got approval from the Orange Gun Club Executive Board a set of 4 armor steel targets in the shapes of a chicken for 100 yds, a turkey for 200 yds, a pig for 300 yds, and a ram for 500 yds that we can incorporate into our matches as side matches. The 500 yd range Kyle has been instrumental in creating is going to be ideal for our buffalo rifles. Thanks to Kyle for his valuable input on the Executive board. The main club has cut out a lot of space in order to create 3 new pistol bays, the 500 yd range, additional parking, resurfaced the road and parking areas inside the club, and open up future sporting clays areas. The sale of that timber is what paid for these improvements which includes our new berm along with all of the others around the facility. The work was performed by executive board members for the most part and the majority of the heavy equipment work was performed by Richie Malone (president) and Wayne Walker(grounds). We are very appreciative indeed to these men and all the men (and women) who have sacrificed so much of their personal time and efforts to accomplish these goals so we can all have such a nice place to shoot.
